Combined Medical Services Examination 2021 or Combined Medical Services Examination 2021 is the entrance examination for admission to Combined Medical Services. Combined Medical Services Examination 2021 is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

Combined Medical Services Examination for the year 2021 has been announced by Union Public Service Commission and will be held on 21/11/2021. The application forms will be available from 07/07/2021 till 27/07/2021. The exam is in online mode. It is being conducted in English language. The result date will be announced later.

Combined Medical Services Examination 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

A candidate must be either: 

  • a Citizen of India 
  • a subject of Nepal
  • a subject of Bhutan
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of  permanently settling in India.
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African  Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and  Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.  Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the  examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. 

 Age Limit: 

  • A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st  August, 2021, i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1989.

Educational Qualification:

  • For admission to the examination, a candidate should have passed the written and practical  parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination. 

NOTE - 1 :

  • A candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear at the final M.B.B.S. Examination  may also apply. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination if otherwise eligible but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation if they do not produce proof of having passed the written and practical part of the final M.B.B.S. Examination along with the detailed application which will be required to be submitted to the Commission by the candidates who qualify on the result of the Computer-based examination. Such proof of passing the requisite examination should be dated earlier than the due date (closing date) of the Detailed Application Form of the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2021. 

Note - 2 :

  • A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection, he/she will be appointed only after he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship.  

Physical and Medical Standards:

  • Candidates must be physically and medically fit according to the physical/medical standards  for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2021 as per regulations contained in Appendix III to the Rules of the Examination.

     6.00 PM. Detailed instructions regarding withdrawal of Applications is
     available at Appendix-II (B).

    Combined Medical Services Examination 2021 Syllabus

    Part-I 

    COMPUTER BASED EXAMINATION – (500 marks):

    • The candidates will take the Computer based examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a  maximum of 250 marks. Each Paper will be of two hours duration. 

    Part-II

    Personality Test: (100 Marks): 

    • Personality test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the  Computer based examination.

    Mobile Phones banned: 

    • The use of any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic  equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches etc. or camera or blue tooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations. 
    • Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned item  including mobile phones or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination, as arrangement for safe-keeping cannot be assured. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
