Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Post Graduate Entrance Test 2020 or DHSGSU PGET 2020 is the entrance examination for admission to M.A. (Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology), M.A. - M.Sc. (Anthropology), M.Tech. (Applied Geology), M.Sc. (Applied Microbiology), M.Sc. (Biotechnology) and other courses. DHSGSU PGET 2020 is conducted by Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh.

DHSGSU PGET for the year 2020 has been announced by Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh and will be held from 13/10/2020 to 17/10/2020. The application forms will be available from 12/04/2020 till 31/07/2020. The exam is in written mode. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. Admit card will be available from 08/10/2020. The result date will be announced later.

DHSGSU PGET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Examinations

  • M.Sc. / M.A. / M.Com. / M.B.A. / M.J. / M.S.W. / M.P.A. (Theatre Arts):

Candidates seeking admission to any of the above PG programmes must have passed Graduation or equivalent examination. Candidates belonging to Unreserved (UR) and OBC - NCL categories with at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA. A relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be given to the candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories candidates.

  • M.Tech. (Applied Geology):

Candidates seeking admission to this programme should have graduation with Geology with an aggregate of 45% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination. A relaxation of 5 % marks in the qualifying examination will be given to the candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories.

  • M.Pharm.

Candidates seeking admission to this programme should be graduate in B. Pharm. with at least 55% or equivalent CGPA and valid GPAT / GATE score. Relaxation of 5% marks will be given to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWD categories. The candidates should have Registration with respective State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within 2 months from the date of Admission failing which the admission shall stand automatically cancelled. 

  • MCA

Candidates seeking admission to this programme should have graduation with one subject as Mathematics at 12th level. The candidate should have passed with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in their graduation in any discipline. A relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be given to candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories in this programme from any UGC / AICTE approved Indian University or a Foreign University recognized by Association of Indian University (AIU) or Institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent there to. 

  • LL.M.

Candidate must have passed LL.B. after graduation or five years LL.B. recognized by the Bar Council of India and have secured a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in the LL.B. Degree. Relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be given to the candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories for the admission in this programme. 

  • M.Ed.

Candidates seeking admission to this programme should have passed  B.Ed. / B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. / B.El.Ed. / D.El.Ed. with minimum 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA. As per the revised AICTE regulations 2014, a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be given to the candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories for the admission in this programme.

  • M.Lib.I.Sc.

Candidates seeking admission to M.Lib.I.Sc. must have secured 50% marks both in graduation as well as in B.Lib.I.Sc. Examination or equivalent CGPA. A relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be given to candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories.

Age requirements

  • For M.A. / M.Sc. / M.Com. / M.B.A. / M.Pharm. / M.Tech. (Applied Geology) / M.C.A. / M.P.A.(Performing arts), the maximum age limit will be 27 years for unreserved category (UR) and OBC - NCL candidates, and 32 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories on 1st July 2020.
  • For M.J. / M.Lib.I.Sc. / M.Ed. / LL.M. / M.A. in Rural Development / M.A. / M.Sc. in Yogic Science, the maximum age limit will be 35 years for Unreserved category (UR) and OBC NCL candidates and 40 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories on 1st July 2020.

There will be no age bar for serving Defense Personnels who have been permitted for study leave except in the programmes for which age limit is prescribed by the regulatory bodies.

    If a candidate applies for more than one programme / code (UGET and PGET) then the fee for each additional programme will be Rs. 400 for Unreserved / OBC - NCL candidates and Rs. 200 for SC and ST candidates and Rs. NIL for PWD candidates.

    Bank draft and cheque will not be accepted. 

    Application Form Filling Instructions

    Students applying for the DHSGSU PGET 2020 have to fill up the application form on the official site.  A student can submit the application for only once; multiple forms will be rejected. 

    Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form of DHSGSU PGET 2020:

    • PC or a Laptop with Internet connectivity 
    • Qualification details
    • Scanned copy of passport photograph in JPG or JPEG format (size between 25 - 100 KB) Scanned copy of signature in JPG or JPEG format (size between 25 - 50 KB)
    • Functional e - mail Id as all communication are made through email; Parents email id is recommended.
    • Mobile number as all information is sent through SMS too. Parents phone number can be used.
    • For online payments, usually a valid debit or credit card as well as Net Banking facility Service is a must.
    • Printer is required for keeping hard copies; if there is no printer, one can save the printouts, transfer them on to a pen drive and get it printed from a cyber - cafe.
    • It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.

    The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form of the DHSGSU PGET 2020:

    • Step - 1 : Students have register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created. 
    • Step - 2 : Student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections 
    • Step - 3 : Required documents in the form of Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Candidate’s Signature.
    • Step - 4 : Payments have to be made by Net Banking / Credit card / ATM - cum Debit card

    The final application form should be printed and a copy kept with you. Keep two hard copies of the Application form and receipt with you.

    The following are the grounds for rejection of application and candidature:-
    • The absence of the photograph / signature of the candidate at the appropriate places in the application form.
    • Providing wrong information in the application form and / or the tempering in supporting documents.
    • If, at any stage, it is found that the applicant is not eligible for admission to a course under University rules, his / her candidature will automatically stand cancelled.
    • If the candidate does not fulfill all the requirements for admission, the candidature of the applicant is liable to be cancelled at any time, even after admission.

    Offline Dates

    Examination Day Instructions

    Before entering the Exam Centre

    • Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card. 
    • Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
    • Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
    • If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
    • Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
    • Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
    • Usually no bags are allowed.
    • No eatables are allowed.
    • Calculators / watch calculators / electronic diary / pager / mobile phones, / earphones / alarm clock / digital watches with memory / slide rule etc. are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.
    • No Candidate will be allowed entry in the Examination Hall after 30 minutes of the start / beginning of the Entrance Test.

    After entering the centre

    • Once candidates enter the centre, they should locate their designated hall and seat. 
    • After all the formalities, candidates should enter the allotted hall and take the designated seat.
    • No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall / room before the expiry of half of the time allotted for the respective paper.
    • For Objective Type question papers, rough work is to be done in the space provided for this purpose. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet under any situation.
    • Questions have to be answered on the answer sheet only.
    • Copying, use of unfair means of any kind, talking, asking questions from other candidates or borrowing of material inside the Test Centre is strictly prohibited.
    • The candidates are to return their OMR answer - sheets and the question paper in full to the Centre Superintendent. Tearing or taking away of the question paper is not allowed failing which the candidates shall be disqualified from the entire Entrance Test.
    • Smoking is a not allowed.
    • Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to expulsion of the candidate.
    • Caught copying helping in copying will mean cancellation of the answer sheet / cancellation of the candidature.
    • Marking the answer sheet or question paper in any way will also lead to cancellation of the exam for that candidate.
    • There is no provision to provide or permit a writer in the Entrance Test except for blind candidates, who will be provided writers on request in consultation with and permission of the admission cell. 
    • Pencil should not be used for answering the question paper at any stage.
