Panjab University Entrance Test for LL.B. 2020 or PUET LL.B. 2020 is the entrance examination for admission to LL.B.. PUET LL.B. 2020 is conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh.

PUET LL.B. for the year 2020 has been announced by Panjab University, Chandigarh and will be held on 25/07/2020. The application forms will be available from 01/05/2020 till 06/07/2020. The exam is in written mode. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. It is being conducted in Hindi and Punjabi languages. Admit card will be available from 14/07/2020. Result is expected to be announced on 10/08/2020.

PUET LL.B. 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum Academic Qualifications required for PUET LL.B. 2020 required are passed Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 45%* marks in aggregate from Panjab University or any other University recognized by Bar Council of India and Panjab University.

In case a candidates having Bachelor’s degree of this University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate, through Modern Indian Languages Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi (Gurmukhi script) and / or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic), the aggregate of 45% marks shall be calculated by taking into account the percentage of aggregate marks that he had secured at the language examination, excluding the marks for the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together .

    Application Form Filling Instructions

    Students applying for the PUET LL.B. 2020 have to fill up the application form on the official site.

    Requirements to be readied before you start filling up the Application Form of PUET LL.B. 2020 :

    • It is recommended to download the information Bulletin Brochure and read it carefully so that you understand various requirements to fill up the form.

    The Usual Steps in filling up the Online Application Form of the PUET LL.B. 2020:

    • Step-1: Students have register for Online Application Form. A login and Password are created. 
    • Step-2: Student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections 
    • Step-3: Required documents in the form of Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph, Candidate’s Signature.
    • Step-4: After submitting the information, please check carefully and lock your application form.
    • Step-5: Download Your bank slip and deposit your fee in any branch of STATE BANK OF INDIA minimum one day after printing of bank slip.

    Examination Day Instructions

    Before entering the Exam Centre

    • Try to reach the exam centre one hour prior to the time advised in the admit card. 
    • Before leaving for the site, please have a hearty breakfast or light lunch depending on the session. Drink plenty of fluids; as in summers dehydration can set in affecting your performance in the exam.
    • Have a cookie or a chocolate just before entering the centre; this prevents hypoglycaemia and thus helps you stay alert longer improving your results.
    • If it is a busy centre, then don’t wait till last for the entry and security check.
    • Centre will not allow you to enter after the stipulated time of closing the doors.
    • Admission to the Exam Centre is with the Admit Card; no candidates shall be admitted to the test without the production of the Admit Card at the Test Centre.
    • Usually no bags are allowed.
    • No eatables are allowed.
    • No communication equipment such as mobile phones / pager/ wireless set, scanner, camera or any such electronic / digital gadget etc are allowed in the exam centre; carrying one will lead to disqualification.
    • Calculators are allowed / not allowed in the exam.

    After entering the centre

    • Once candidates enter the centre, they should locate their designated hall and seat. 
    • If mentioned, candidates will be hand frisked as well as photographed or video graphed before entering the centre
    • After all the formalities, candidates should enter the allotted hall and take the designated seat.
    • No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall / room before the expiry of half of the time allotted for the respective paper.
    • For Objective Type question papers, rough work is to be done in the space provided for this purpose. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet under any situation.
    • Questions have to be answered on the answer sheet only.
    • Copying, use of unfair means of any kind, talking, asking questions from other candidates or borrowing of material inside the Test Centre is strictly prohibited.
    • The candidates are to return their OMR answer-sheets and the question paper in full to the Centre Superintendent. Tearing or taking away of the question paper is not allowed failing which the candidates shall be disqualified from the entire Entrance Test.
    • Smoking is a not allowed.
    • Misbehaviour of any kind can lead to expulsion of the candidate.
    • Caught copying helping in copying will mean cancellation of the answer sheet/cancellation of the candidature.
    • Marking the answer sheet or question paper in any way will also lead to cancellation of the exam for that candidate.
    • Special arrangements for amanuensis (writer of answer):
      • A candidate may be allowed help of an amanuensis (writer) if he/she is:
      • Blind
      • OR
      • Permanently disabled from writing with his/her own hand.
      • Temporarily disabled from writing on account of fracture of the right or left arm, forearm or dislocation of a shoulder elbow or wrist etc. The candidate shall produce a certificate from a Professor of the speciality concerned of a Medical College and where there is no Medical College, from the Chief Medical officer of the District concerned to the effect that the candidate is unable to write his/her answer-books because of the temporary disablement. 
    • 9. 30 minutes extra would be given to the visually handicapped/persons with disability (PwD).

    RESOLVING OF TIES

    Candidates securing equal marks in the Final Merit List shall be bracketed together. However, their inter-se merit rank shall be determined as under: - 

    • A candidate getting higher percentage of marks in qualifying examination (Bachelors degree) shall rank higher in order of merit. 
    • If the marks, as mentioned in (i) are also the same then the candidate obtaining higher percentage of marks in the immediate lower exam shall rank higher in order of merit. 
    • If two or more candidates secure equal marks in (i) and (ii) above, candidate senior in age shall rank higher in order of merit.

    PUET LL.B. 2020 Admission Procedure

    • Qualifying an Entrance Test does not entitle a candidate to seek admission in a course. The candidate will have to fill up and submit an online Admission Form at official website and has to meet the eligibility requirements of the course. 
    • Every candidate must apply for the Reserved Category (ies) to which he/she belongs to in the Admission Form. All candidates will be considered in the General Category irrespective of the fact that they have claimed for admission under Reserved Categories subject to the condition that the candidate of SC/ST/BC/PwD categories fulfills the minimum eligibility requirement of General Category and must not have availed of relaxation in eligibility marks. No candidate shall be considered for admission against any Reserved Category (ies) for which s/he has not applied. 
    • Once the candidate has submitted the online Admission Form, any change in the Form including category once marked shall not be allowed. 
    • The candidates who are applying under the Sports Category are required to see Appendix B of this document, for further procedures and guidelines. 
    • Candidates who wish to claim weightage on the basis of NCC, NSS, Youth Welfare, Adult Education and other activities should follow the guidelines as enshrined in the Handbook of Information-2020.
