AIIMS Delhi B.Sc Nursing Courses after Class 12

AIIMS, Delhi is famous for its paramedical courses and lot of students apply for it. Nursing courses are also extremely popular. The nursing courses available are B.Sc Nursing (post-basic), B.Sc Hons. and B.Sc paramedical.

AIIMS conducts an all-India exam for entrance to B.Sc Nursing courses along with B.Sc paramedical courses. Candidates are shortlisted based on their merit in the entrance exam. After the result is out, counselling is conducted for the shortlisted candidates to offer them a seat in their preferred college and course as now there are more than 15 AIIMS in India

Eligibility for B.Sc (Hons) Nursing

Must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects

Must have a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in 10+2, whereas, it is 50% for SC/ ST category.

 

Eligibility for B.Sc Para medical

Must have qualified the 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board with English, Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Maths.

Must have obtained at least 50% marks in case of Gen/ EWS/OBC category and 45% in case of SC / ST category.

 

Eligibility for B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic)

Must have passed class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University. 

Students who have cleared class 10+1 on or before 1986 are also eligible to apply.

Must have diploma in general nursing and midwifery from any of the institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

Must have been registered as a nurse or midwife with any State Nursing council. 

Male nurses must  also have a six-month training in any of the below given subjects:

  1. Ophthalmic Nursing.
  2. O.T. Techniques,
  3. Leprosy Nursing,
  4. TB Nursing,
  5. Psychiatric Nursing,
  6. Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing,
  7. Community Health Nursing,
  8. Cancer Nursing
  9. Orthopaedic Nursing.

The application process is online.


Step 1: Open the official website and click on the button provided for “New Basic Registration”.


Step 2: Read all the instructions and click on “Proceed”.


Step 3: The Basic registration form has to be filled. It includes

Print Basic Registration Form

Step 4: Scanned images of photograph, signature and thumb impression as per specifications are uploaded. 


Step 5: A code id generated to fill the final registration form.


Step 6: One has to use registration id, registration unique code and password to login and fill the final registration form.


Step 7:  All academic details have to be entered and the exam centre choice to be made in the final registration form.


Step 8: After submission, make the required fee payment and a printout of the final registration form is taken.

Duration:                             Two hour.

Mode of Exam:                  Online mode.

Number of questions:     100 questions

Type of questions:            Objective type i

Marking scheme:              One mark for every correct answer. 

Negative Marking:            -1/3 marks in case of an incorrect answer.

  • Counselling is based on the merit in the entrance exam. 
  • There three rounds of counselling. 
  • First and second round of counselling are held online. 
  • In case of vacant seats after first and second round of counselling, the remaining seats are filled during third open round of counselling, which is help at the specified site.
