Nursing is a profession which aims to focus on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain and recover optimal health and quality of life. Since, the post-war period nurse education has undergone a process of diversification towards advanced and specialized credentials, and many of the traditional regulations and provider roles are changing. In order to take admissions in one of the B.Sc. Nursing colleges in Maharashtra, aspirants will either have to sit for an entrance test that has been conducted by the college or sit for a state-level or national –level entrance test such as NEET. This blog will give you some of the details about the admission process of B.Sc. Nursing conducted in Maharashtra.

ADMISSION PROCESS OF B.Sc. NURSING IN MAHARASHTRA

The admissions to the B.Sc. Nursing course will be based on NEET-UG scores, the aspirants need to apply and go through the selection process as outlined by the National testing Agency (NTA) , the NEET-UG conducting body. Let us have a look at the following steps below in order to take admission to the various courses:

·       The candidates will be required to visit mahacet.org or at nta neet.nic.in.

·       Candidates firstly have to register to the CET Cell in order to access the online application form.

·       Candidates must download the Information Brochure pertaining to NEET-UG, as uploaded by the Cell. Candidates must go through the information brochure completely and qualify for all the criteria mentioned in the brochure.

·       Candidates then will be able to click on the application link provided by the CET on its website.

·       All the necessary details are to be filled in the application form correctly by the candidates, as any mistake committed during filling up the form may lead to the cancellation of the application and the overall admission procedure of the candidate.

·       Candidates further have to submit a “Declaration by the Candidate”. Candidates must go through all the declarations that have been mentioned on the website before clicking on “I Agree”.

·       After the candidate has clicked on “I Agree”, they are required to submit the password set by them.

·       Before clicking on “Submit”, candidates must ensure that all the details have been entered correctly as no changes will be made by the CET Cell afterward.

·       Clicking on “Submit”, candidates will be asked to pay the application fee of Rs 1000 through the payment gateway provided by the cell.

·       Candidates are advised to take a printout of the payment receipt, as the receipt will be the proof holder of the entire application process applied by the candidate.

·       After the process, the candidate can login again to verify the application process.

·       After the application form has been completed and verified, all candidates are required to download the application form and take a printout of the same for future admission processes.

·       After the completion and successfully submitting the application form, the candidates are then required to upload all the necessary documents on the website.

·      The entire admission to the B.Sc. Nursing courses in Maharashtra for the next academic year will be based on admission guidelines for NEET-UG 2020. Therefore, all the admissions to the different courses and colleges will be based on the NEET-UG 2020 counselling process. Though the official notification regarding B.Sc. Nursing admission in Maharashtra will be released soon.
