CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is a multiple-choice objective examination that helps aspirants to gain entrance into Central university and participating university undergraduate programmes. This is a computer-based exam, introduced by the Ministry of Education of India and conducted by the National Testing Authority (NTA).
CUET UG 2026: Registration & Application Process
The CUET (UG) 2026 registration process is conducted entirely online. Every candidate needs to follow all instructions carefully, before submitting their CUET UG 2026 application form.
Candidates have to follow 4 main steps to complete their CUET 2026 registration process:
Step 1 (Registration)
They have to register online. It is necessary to type in personal details. Candidates need to create a password and security question. They will get a system-generated Application Number, which can be used for all future logins and correspondence.
In 2026, the CUET 2026 registration last date is January 30.
Step 2 (Application Form),
Candidates have to log in with their Application Number and password.
Then, they need to fill their personal, educational, university and programme details. After choosing test papers and exam cities, they have to upload the required documents, which include:
· A live photograph, using their mobile camera or webcam,
· A recent passport-size photograph,
· A scanned copy of own signature, and
· Disability/UDID certificate (if applicable), as per the specified format and size guidelines.
All the uploaded details will be verified by the NTA. If incorrect or false documents are uploaded along with the CUET UG Application Form 2026, it may lead to Unfair Means action.
Step 3 (Fee Payment)
Candidates have to pay the examination fee online. This can be done through:
· Net banking,
· Cards, or
· UPI
Only after successful payment and generation of the Confirmation Page, they can be assured that the application process is complete. If the Confirmation Page is not generated, they have to make another payment and seek reconciliation later.
Finally, they have to download and keep a copy of the Confirmation Page stored safely, for future reference. Aspirants have to make sure that they have entered correct information at all stages, as no changes will be allowed later. They need to keep their login credentials absolutely secure and avoid sharing passwords.
Things to Remember
To ensure effective registration and application process completion, candidates must keep a number of things in mind.
· The entire application process is completely based online. Candidates are not expected to send any document to NTA by hand, email,Fax, WhatsApp or post.
· They should register their own mobile number and email address along with the online application form, to get personal correspondence and updates from NTA. If this is not done, NTA will not hold any responsibility for any miscommunication or non-communication. They can use only one mobile number and one email address per CUET UG Application Form 2026.
· Candidates cannot change any information in the future. Thus, they should double-check every information that they enter during the registration process. Any request for change in any information later will not be entertained by NTA.
