CUET 2026 Admissions to Start June 15, 2026
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 will bring several changes to its schedule. Last year, many universities—including Delhi University—had empty seats after CUET results were released late, causing problems for students and institutions.
This year, the Ministry of Education wants college admissions to begin sooner. The plan is to start admissions by June 15, helping universities finish the process quickly—ideally, within one or two rounds by early July.
Why the CUET-UG Timeline Is Changing
Many universities raised concerns with the Ministry of Education about delays in the CUET process. In 2025, the exam was held from May 13 to June 4, and results came out on July 4, which left thousands of seats vacant even in popular colleges. By improving the schedule, officials hope more students secure seats faster.
What’s Different for CUET 2026?
The CUET exam may start 7–10 days earlier than last year.
Admissions are planned to begin around June 15, soon after the exam.
Ministry of Education is working with the National Testing Agency (NTA) to finalize the new schedule.
