The SSC CHSL Exam is a computer-based test (CBT), and the duration of the exam is 2 hours. The career scope after qualifying in the SSC CHSL Exam is very good as the posts offer salaries starting from Rs. 17,000.

 

3.    RRB Group D Exam

 

One of the most popular government exams in India, the RRB Group D Exam, is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) to recruit candidates for various posts in Indian Railways. Some of the posts under Group D include track maintainer, helper, pointsman, porter, and gateman. 

 

The exam consists of four sections - Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness on Current Affairs. The total duration of the exam is 90 minutes, and the total number of questions is 100 that are multiple-choice types. 

 

RRB Group D Exam comes with many career choices as there are various posts under Group D in Indian Railways. The candidates who are selected for the Group D posts will be responsible for various tasks like maintaining the track, operating switches and signals, helping passengers, and other maintenance work. The candidates can also expect a good in hand salary of Rs 22,000 to Rs. 25,000.

 

 

4.    Central Teachers Eligibility Test

 

Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) is a less competitive entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for candidates who wish to become teachers in central government schools. The test is held twice a year, and the syllabus covers topics from child development to pedagogy.

 

The CTET is now a mandatory qualifying examination for appointments to the post of teachers in schools under the control of the Union government, including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and Central Tibetan Schools Administration. The minimum qualifying marks for the CTET are 60% for general category candidates and 55% for reserved category candidates. 

 

Candidates who clear the CTET will be awarded a certificate valid for seven years with a salary of Rs 35,000- Rs. 37,000 per month.

 

5.    LIC Assistant Administrative Officer Exam

 

LIC Assistant Administrative Officer Exam is a national-level examination conducted by Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for the recruitment of assistant administrative officers in the organization. 

 

The exam is conducted in two tiers – preliminary and main. Those who clear the prelims are eligible to take the mains exam. The syllabus for the LIC AAO Exam covers topics from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge.

 

After qualifying for the LIC AAO Exam, candidates are appointed as assistant administrative officers in LIC. They are responsible for various tasks such as policy servicing, claim settlement, premium collection, marketing of insurance products, etc. The job of an AAO is a challenging one and offers good growth prospects. The starting salary of an AAO in LIC is nearly Rs. 32,000/- per month.
