Eligibility criteria:
· Interested candidates seeking admission to the MBA program at Gauhati University must meet the necessary eligibility requirements before applying for an entry test. For Gauhati University MBA courses, the eligibility criteria are as follows.
· Candidates must have a 10+2+3 bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate or major subjects (if any) from the University of Gauhati or any other recognized university.
· Applicants appearing in the final year of the Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent examination are also eligible to apply if they are required to produce a passing certificate for the qualifying examination on the date specified.
Process of Selection:
In the written entry test, candidates have to appear. The university organizes the exam to check the candidate's quantitative ability, general awareness, data interpretation, and English language skills. The Group Discussion and Interview round will also be called for those who successfully qualify for the written exam. In the written test, group discussion, and personal interview, the final selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their overall performance.
Candidates who have cleared any of the Common Entrance Tests of All India, such as MAT, CAT, ATMA, or XAT, are exempted from the written entrance test organized by the University of Gauhati.
How to apply for Gauhati University MBA Admission 2021?
Aspirants can obtain application forms from the Department of Publication, Gauhati University, along with an information booklet. The application form is expected to be available from July 2021 to August 2021 for payment of Rs.400/-through the Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of the Registrar of the University of Gauhati payable in Guwahati or in person at the cash counter of the University of Gauhati. Besides, it is also possible to download the application form from the official GU website at www.gauhati.ac.in. Nonetheless, when submitting the downloaded application form, applicants should pay Rs. 400/- at the Gauhati University cash counter via demand draft or in cash.
Also, candidates must submit a Demand Draft of Rs 350/-(only three hundred and fifty) favoring Gauhati University Registrar as the mandatory examination fee for the MBA Entrance Test. The fee for the examination should be paid to the Department of Economics, G.U. During the submission of a form for the application. A request proposal of Rs 350/- must accompany a request form sent by post in favor of the Registrar, Gauhati University payable at Guwahati, as well as the application form fee of Rs. 400/- by Demand Draft. Applicants should notice that the Head of the Department of Economics, University of Gauhati, should obtain, on or before the due date, a properly completed application form accompanied by all the necessary documents.
