Jammu and Kashmir is a large state, but the population is almost 1.30 Crores. Part of this state lies above the snow line and the region is called Switzerland of India. It is often denoted by the acronym, J&K and located mostly in the Himalayan mountains, and shares borders with the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to the south.
In Jammu & Kashmir, admission and counseling process for filling undergraduate medical and dental seats is administered by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE). . Admission to the MBBS/BDS course is purely based on NEET 2024 rank.

Admission Process for year 2024
The eligible candidates of the state of Jammu & Kashmir are required to fill the online application from.
To fill the application form, the candidates needs to register themselves by entering correct mobile number and email address which will be used for further communication and also required to submit the requisite documents online that includes state subject certificate, 10+2 marks certificate, matriculation certificate for purpose of date of birth and category certificate (if applicable).
Counselling Process
After successful registration, the provisional state merit list will be released on (Date to be notified) which will be prepared on the basis of NEET 2024 scores. The merit list will contain information like application no., roll no., name, gender, NEET rank, score, category and state rank.
Round-I:
After the release of state merit list, the candidates registered on time will be required to submit the online preferences for the first round of counseling. On the basis of merit rank and the preferences submitted, the seats will be allotted to the candidates.
The candidates who will be allotted seats in the first round of counseling will be required to report at the allotted college for further process of document verification and deposition of course fee.
