Indian Institute of Technology conducts JEE Advanced. Anyone out of the 7 IITs, namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore conducts this test with collaboration in the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Students can get admissions to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s, and Dual Degree programs in all the 23 IITs and the Indian School of Mines (ISM) after qualifying for JEE Advanced.
The Union Education Minister has announced the date July 3, 2021, for the JEE Advanced 2021 exam.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2021
The previously fixed eligibility criteria to secure a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in the class 12th examination has been revised in 2021.
1. Performance in JEE Main 2021
Candidates who will fall under the Top 2,50,000 rankers in JEE Main 2021 will be eligible to give JEE Advanced. The category-wise distribution of the candidates are as follows:
• General Category-46.5%
• General EWS-4%
• OBC-NCL-27%
• SC Candidates-15%
• ST Candidates-7.5%
2. Age Limit
• General or OBC-NCL category candidates born on or after October 1, 1996, are eligible to apply.
• The age Limit for SC, ST, or PWD category students is after October 1, 1991.
3. Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th examinations in 2020 or 2021 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry from any recognized Board.
Syllabus
• For Paper 1
Physics: It will include units & dimensions, thermal physics, optics, modern physics, etc.
Mathematics: It will cover Algebra, Trigonometry, Probability, Geometry, Integral, Calculus, Matrics, and much more.
Chemistry: It will consist of Physical, Inorganic, and organic chemistry. The topics will be electrochemistry, oxidation, ores & minerals, carbohydrates, and much more.
• For Paper 2
This will comprise a simple drawing containing lines, surface texture, furniture, angles, triangles, etc.
Format of JEE Advanced
There will be 2 papers, and both of them will have 3 sections. These sections will include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. JEE Advanced 2021 question paper will have multiple choice questions with one answer only. There will be MCQs, numerical value questions, and matching type questions. It will be a computer-based test with a duration of 3 hours. There is negative marking involved in the paper, so students need to answer sincerely.

Application Details
Candidates need to fill an online application form, which will be available from the first week of May 2021. The authority will also provide the correction facility in the application form.
Following Documents will be required at the time of registration:
• Date of birth proof (10th certificate)
• 12TH or equivalent certificate
• Category Certificate
Students need to attach a passport size photograph as well.
