Time of reporting and entry into the test centre:

  • The candidates have been asked to report at the Examination Centre two hours before the commencement of the examination. I will recommend reaching the test centre three hours in advance, just to be on the safe side.
  • This much time is required as each candidate has to be security frisked and complete registration formalities well before the time. Registration desk closes 30 minutes prior to the examination.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to enter the Examination Hall/Room after 9:00 am in the first shift and after 2:00 pm the second shift.
  • Please read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.
  • The candidate must carry all the essential papers as mentioned above. A candidate who does not possess the valid Admit Card and authorized photo IDs will not be permitted to enter the examination under any circumstances.
  • A seat indicating roll number is usually allocated to each candidate. Candidates should occupy their allotted seat. If any candidate is found to have changed his or her room/hall or the seat on his/her own other than allotted, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and no plea would be accepted for it.
  • No candidate is allowed to leave his/her seat or Examination Room/Hall until the full duration of the paper is over, without the special permission of the Centre Superintendent or the Invigilator concerned,
Candidates are not allowed to leave the room/hall without handing over their rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall.
  • There will be no re-test for any candidate who is unable to appear on the scheduled date of tests for any reason.

Important Advice for JEE Main April 2020 Exam

  • It is also very vital for candidates or their parents to visit the site of test centre one day before to ensure timely arrival at the test centre on the day of the exam. Sometimes test centres may be very far off from your place of stay or may be located in a very congested part of the city, where traffic can slow down your transit to the test centre.
  • It is advised to reach the test centre at least three hours before the start of exam.
  • Please keep another set of documents with your parents or guardians accompanying you to the test centre. This is in case you lose or misplace a document or a photo, a ready backup is available for you.
  • Please ensure a full night's sleep before your exam date.
  • Take a nourishing breakfast or a snack before you reach the centre. Please drink plenty of fluids. A chocolate or a banana is always very handy and can be munched till you enter the test centre.

Hope you all do well. Best of Luck
