On August 21, 2025, the National Board of Examination for Medical Sciences (NBEMS)released a corrective noticeregarding the publication of the answer key of the NEET PG exam.
In a petition filed about this, petitioners argued that withholding question IDs and answer keys limits the ability of candidates to verify responses and challenge discrepancies. They stated that this undermines in a national-level exam like NEET PG that is taken by around two lakh aspirants every year.The apex court asked why so few candidates raised objections. However, it scheduled the next hearing after two weeks.
On September 26, 2025, the Honorable Supreme Court of India (SC) gave its latest verdict on the hearing of NEET PG transparency plea against the NBEMS. The board has been ordered by the apex court to address the transparency issues within a period of two weeks.
