  • Conceptual clarity
When you begin your preparation, your focus must be on gaining conceptual clarity. It is essential that you understand the topic instead of rote learning. This will ensure that you are equipped to hand all kinds of questions in the exam.
  • Make notes
One of the most important practices during the SSC CPO exam preparation should be compiling your notes. For the Quantitative Aptitude section, compile all the important formulas and tricks in one place and for General Knowledge and General Awareness, divide your notes into static and dynamic portions.

The dynamic portion must be updated every day and must be in sync with the static information. For example, there is a news about GST Rate revision, then you must compile complete background and information about GST and GST Council and add it in your static notes.
  • Read the newspaper
You must read one standard newspaper every day. It will help you in both the general awareness section and English comprehension. Read and highlight the important facts to remember and later add them to your notes.
  • Previous year papers
The best source to gain insight into the kind of questions asked in the examination and the weightage of all the topics is the SSC CPO past year papers. You must go through the papers to prepare a study plan accordingly. You must also solve the papers to understand the level of your exam preparation and the work and effort required to reach the required score. It will also help you build confidence for the exam and will increase your question-solving skills.
  • Self-assessment
It is vital to check the exam preparation regularly. Only grasping and learning the syllabus will not help unless you learn to implement and solve the questions. Therefore you must practice test series and mock tests to determine the best way to solve the exam question papers.

Regular practice of mock tests also gives you insight into the gaps and frequent mistakes made by you. After each test, you must analyze the paper and make the appropriate changes and improvements in your exam preparation before the next test. Mock tests also help you revise the syllabus properly and reduces your errors while simultaneously improving your speed of solving the questions.

Lastly, regular revision of the completed syllabus is highly crucial. Sections like general awareness and GK and quantitative aptitude requires a regular revision of your notes. The formula notes must be revised every day for better memorization as it also as it will also help you quickly solve the questions.

General awareness and GK syllabus is exhaustive in nature and have too many facts to memorize. If you continue regular revision, you will have better memorization and retention, which will eventually help you score better in the examination.

Be consistent in your exam preparation and you will surely qualify SSC CPO Examination with a good score.
