Top Law Entrance Exam after Class 12 - The board exams for class 12 are approaching fast. By this time students would have made up their minds as to which profession to pursue. If Law is on your radar, then you should know about the various ways one can obtain admission in law courses after class 12.
Under-graduate law admission in India is on the basis of various entrance examinations, which are conducted at the national or state level. Some universities also conduct individual exams for admission. It's important to know about the top law exams of India as the process of admission process starts with filling up of admission forms. The processes have started or will start soon. I will describe Top Six Such entrance exams for law studies in India.
1. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020 is conducted by NLU Consortium for admission to 22 NLUs. Other institutes utilize CLAT score granting admission to their colleges too. CLAT 2020 has been announced and one can fill up the forms on the official site.
CLAT for both the UG and PG law courses will be held on May 10, 2020 and application date is between January 1 and March 31, 2020. Eligibility is for the CLAT UG is 10+2 with more than 45 per cent.
2. Law School Admission Test or LSAT India 2020 is conducted by Pearson VUE conducts and is modelled on the world-renowned Law School Admission Test (LSAT). The LSAT 2020 exam is scheduled to be held on May 1, 2020, and the registration process is open on the official site.
The exam is for a duration of 2 hours and 55 minutes with 115 objective type questions to solve. These questions include analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, reading comprehension and general knowledge.
3. All India Law Entrance Test or AILET 2020 is another national level examination conducted by National Law University (NLU), Delhi. This exam is only for the admission of candidates in NLU Delhi.
On merit, candidates are offered admission to five-year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), LLM. and PhD Programme. The online registration for AILET 2020 is about to start anytime and students can apply on the official site.
4. Banaras Hindu University or BHU UET 2020 is the entrance exam for admission to one of the most renowned universities of India. The test if for admission to 120 seats for B.A. LL.B (Hons) Degree course. The undergraduate entrance test is held in the month of May.
Registration will start in the month of February 2020 and one can fill up the forms on the official site.
5. The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun, conducts ULSAT entrance exam each year for admission to BBA LLB, B.Sc., LL.B, B.Com LLB, and B.Tech LLB courses. Eligibility is class 12 with more than 50 per cent marks in board exams.
Registration for ULSAT 2020 is already on and one can apply on the online, on the official site. The exam ULSAT exam is held online and has 150 objective type questions.
6. Symbiosis International University (SIU) Law entrance Exam or SET 2020 or SLAT 2020 is for admissions to UG law programmes of the Symbiosis university at Pune and elsewhere. Candidates will have to apply online for SLAT 2020 on the official site. SET Law or SLAT 2020 will be conducted in online mode usually in the first week of May 2020.
Almost 900 seats are available for admission at Symbiosis International University’s 4 Law schools at Pune Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur. Usually the exam is notified in the fourth week of January.
