West Bengal college service commission will soon be going to release the official notification for WB SET 2020-21. The exam has been set back because of the COVID 19 pandemic. WB SET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the WB SET 2021. The eligibility test will be conducted across 30 subjects. This is an opportunity for the candidates in West Bengal who want to make a career in teaching. The WB SET exam consists of two papers of which paper 1 is common for all the candidates who want to give the exam and paper 2 comprises of subject's multiple-choice questions.

WB SET eligibility criteria 2021:

The candidate must have a master's degree that is recognized by the U.G.C. the candidate who have secured at least 55% marks in their master's degree or an equivalent degree from universities which is recognized by UGC and state government will be eligible for this test. PhD degree holders who completed their master's exam by 19th September 1991 irrespective of the date on which the result was declared shall be considered eligible for a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate marks. the candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for the qualifying master's degree exam and whose result is declared or awaited may appear for the examination.

How to apply for WB SET 2021

Candidate can follow the steps given below:

Go to the official website of WBCSC. find a tab ‘Apply for set examination’. Click on the choice of ‘apply now’ which will be ahead of the tab.

You will be asked to fill in the main details like choosing the topic of the paper and exam center first. After filling in the main details you'll need to enter your personal details. Make sure you fill the form correctly.

Provide a mobile number and email id that's valid and active. You will be notified about everything on the e-mail id that you simply concede the shape.

You will be taken to the page where you'll need to submit your academic qualifications. Be careful while entering the marks.

After that you'll be asked to upload some scanned documents. Your photograph and signature are a requirement to upload because without them your application won't be accepted.

Your application process will be complete after this. It Is advised to save the registration number as it will be useful later.

WB SET 2021 application fee

Aspirants cannot pay the application fees of WB SET in online mod. The aspirants can pay cash at any branch of the united bank of India through challan downloadable from the official website of WBCSC. The application fee is non-Refundable.

The application fees for general category are Rs.1000, for OBC is Rs.500 and for SC/ST/EWS is Rs.250.

WB SET exam pattern 2021

WB SET exam is divided into two papers. Paper 1 is of 100 marks and consists of 50 questions. The timing for paper 1 is 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Paper 2 is of 200 marks and consists of 100 questions. The timing for paper 2 is 11am to 1 pm.

WB SET selection process

From every subject, only 6% of top candidates clearing WB SET shall be declared as passed in the examination. The candidate will need to be within the top 6% in each subject in order that he is going to be considered for the WB SET certificate. The selection of the 6% candidate will be on the basis of reservation rules and policies.

WB SET admit card

The admit card of West Bengal set 2021 will be available on the official website of WBCSC. Aspirants can download the admit card from the official website. It is necessary to hold the WB SET admit card on the day of examination. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the WB SET admit card.

WB SET result

The result of the exam gets declared after the entrance exam gets over. Marks will get published on the official website of the West Bengal college service commission (WBCSC). The commission board will release the result of both the papers. . The marks of all the aspirants will be available on the WBCSC website after the declaration of the result. WBCSC will not publish any marks sheet to qualified/non-qualified candidates through post. The candidate must take print of the result for further process.

How to download the WB SET 2021 result?

• The aspirant will have to click on the link given on the home page for the result.
• Enter the login details like ID and password.

Step 2: display result

The candidate can check the result that appeared on the screen.

Step 3: print out

The aspirant must take print on the result for further process.

WB SET cutoffs

WBCSC will release the name of the top 6% of the candidates who secure cut off marks.

At least 40% marks required for the general category, 35% marks required for the SC/STOBC category.

Educational qualification for WB SET

The candidates who secure a minimum of 55% marks in master's degree from university recognized by UGC are allowed for the exam. The candidates who belong to OBC/SC/ST/EWS category have secured at least 50% in master's degree will be eligible for the test. The transgender will also have to qualify the same eligibility criteria which are mentioned. Aspirants having PG diploma/certificate by an Indian university or foreign degree/diploma awarded by the foreign university should ascertain their degree with master's degree of recognized Indian university from association of Indian universities (AIU), NEW DELHI.
