Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board class 10th and 12th have started from today. Over 56 lakh candidates are appearing for the examination. Almost 30 lakh students of class 10th will be taking elementary Hindi and 26 lakh students of class 12th are appearing for the general Hindi exam on the first day.
Dinesh Sharma, the deputy chief minister, also holds the education portfolio, says that the examinations are being held at 7,784 centers across the state.
The exams will end on 6th March, of both high school and intermediate examinations.
Out of 30 lakh candidates of class 10th who registered online, 20,789 are appearing as the private candidate. In class 12th, out of 26 lakh candidates who had registered, 69,983 are the private candidates.
This year the state government had made extensive arrangements to check the copying and to nab the copying mafia who helps in the mass cheating in UP Board Exams. They have set up a state-level ‘monitoring and control room’ for CCTV surveillance and to monitor the voice recording of the children. Around 2 lakh CCTV cameras have been installed at all the 7784 centers of the 75 districts in UP. Nearly around 2 lakh invigilators have been allotted on duty for the examinations.
The UPSEB (Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board) had declared 395 centers as ‘hypersensitive’ while 938 as the ‘sensitive’ centers.
The sensitive districts will use the color-coded and threaded answer-copies. Pink and yellow will be the color of the class 10tth answer copies and class 12th answer copies will be green and blue. By this method, the pages can not be replaced or taken out by any unauthorized person.
UP government had launched Twitter handle and helpline numbers to register any kind of complaint regarding the UPSEB examinations.
