CAT 2020 Results Announced: See All the Details About the Results

Results of the Common Admission Test or CAT 2020 was published recently by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). This year 2,27,835 candidates applied for the CAT examination, but only 1,90,144 candidates appeared for the exam. The number of applicants is a lot lesser than the previous year. After 2016, this is the lowest number of applicants. This year, out of all the examinees, only nine students scored 100 percentile; which is less than the previous year. Previous year the number of students who scored 100 percentiles was ten. Five students among these nine are from IITs. But it is sad news that no female students could score 100 percentile. Seven candidates among these nine students who scored the highest percentile overall were from technology and engineering background. Of the rest two, one candidate had a mathematics background, and the other one had a management background.
The second position has been held by nineteen candidates. They scored 99.99 percentile overall, and this time a female candidate made her place in the second rank. Among these candidates, sixteen are from a technology and engineering background, two had economics, and one had management as their academic background.
Those who cracked the exams can take admissions in the top B-schools as well as in the IIMs.
Among the toppers of the examination, three belong to Rajasthan. And the rest of the six belong to – Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. In the rest of the students, fifteen candidates belonging from Chandigarh scored over 99 percentiles.
