CBSE and ICSE Board Exam Cancelled

The Central Board of Secondary Education has planned to cancel the remaining Board exam for Classes 10th and 12th which were scheduled to be held in July, due to increasing cases of Covid-19 infection across the country. Also, CBSE has informed the Supreme Court that the students will be given an option to give exam later when the situation becomes conductive while the re-exam option will not be available for Class 10th.

Along with this, ICSE Board exam has also been cancelled and it would not be giving re-examination option to the students of Classes 10th and 12th. The results will be declared on the basis of past performances. The bench had asked CBSE to file an affidavit on Friday by giving all the information for it to pass order on request of the parents. Although the conductive atmosphere may vary from one state to another state, therefore the bench had asked the Centre and CBSE to give a tentative time-frame when they will review the situation. Also, a detailed scheme has been asked by the Board on how marks will be awarded for the pending papers and when the results will be declared.

According to the new scheme of things which has been prepared by the CBSE says that the marks will be given to class 12th students on the basis of combined assessment and of the marks scored in practicals or internal assessments and also on the basis of exams which the candidate has already given.

As per the sources the results will be announced in the last week of July.
