JEE Main 2020 may get Postponed - Due to a proposed strike by the Trade Unions on 8th January

JEE Main 2020 may get Postponed: There is a possibility that the first level of the Joint Entrance Exam i.e. JEE Main 2020 might get postponed due to the countrywide strike by the trade unions. The admissions for all India Entrance Examination for Engineering are scheduled for sixth to tenth of January.

A unified platform of 10 central trade union leads a general nationwide strike on the eighth of January because of the government’s alleged ignorance of the demands of its workers. The Central trade unions informed the union HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to defer the JEE exam as the strike they are panning is for the eighth of January because of the countrywide strike.

The problem

A large number of students take this test each year; around 9.3 lakh candidates have applied for the January 2020 JEE Main examination this year. The duration of the exam is five days and 8th Jan is the third day of the exam. A nationwide strike is not conducive to traveling and thus the students appearing of 8th Jan will be put under a lot of inconveniences.

Thus this call for a strike is a great hurdle and the government should come out with guidelines and instructions for students appearing on 8th January in The JEE Main Exam.

We at Mynextexam.com are monitoring the situation and will inform the students if there is any announcement in this regard. Students are instructed to continue their studies as if there is no strike on 8th Jan and the exam will help as per schedule.
