If you're planning to appear for the JEE Main 2026 exam next year, here's some big news for you. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a dummy link before registration begins this year, so students can understand the registration process in advance and avoid any hassles later. The JEE Main exam is a dream for millions of students across the country. A large number of students participate every year. This exam is the key to admission to NITs, IIITs, and other top engineering colleges. Only those who pass the JEE Main exam are eligible for the JEE Advanced, which leads to admission to IITs.
When will JEE Main 2026 Session 1 be held?
According to the NTA, Session 1 of JEE Main 2026 will be held in January. Registration is expected to begin in October 2025. This means that there's very little time left, so students dreaming of engineering admission should start preparing now.
Why the Dummy Link Was Released
Every year, thousands of students make mistakes during registration, such as misspelling names, document upload issues, or form submission errors. To avoid these problems, the NTA has released a dummy link at demo.nta.nic.in, which works exactly like the actual registration portal. The only difference is that registrations made here will not be valid; it's only for practice.
What Benefits Will the JEE Main 2026 Dummy Registration Offer?
- The chances of errors during registration will be zero.
- You won't face any problems when filling out the actual form.
- You will already be familiar with every section of the website.
- Steps like document upload and preview will be pre-practiced.
