While avoiding the COVID precautions issued by most other universities, Ranchi University has decided to conduct offline examinations for the terminal semester students enrolled in UG and PG courses. These are reported to begin in the second week of September. The university officials declared that the institute will finish the plans along with various preventive measures for the examinations such as social distancing norms, temperature screening, and compulsory hand sanitizers and masks.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Ramesh Pandey has also instructed the Examination Department to take every precaution with the COVID protocols and to ensure that students do the same.
He stated in an interview that the 8th Semester examination will start on the 10th of September for the B.Tech Students. As for the LLB students, it will likely start a week later. The 4th Semester examinations for PG courses will start in the last week of September.
The university will also ensure that the number of examinations for each day will be reduced and that they will do their best to reduce the length of the examination paper to ensure that students aren’t too burdened by it. The move would also extend the overall duration of the examination process and increase the number of rooms available for examination.
The guidelines are going to be followed during the process of examination, and they will allow around 16000 students to give their exams. They have also extended the last date for applying for PG examinations to September 14. The same process for UG Examinations will start from the beginning of next month.
