About B.Des.
Bachelor of Design (B.Des) is an established degree for courses in design at undergraduate level. B.Des degree is a three to four year course for various specialisations in design. These include Fashion Designing, Interior Designing, Accessory Designing, Industry Design, Textile Designing and many others. B.Des degree is offered in various design specialisations such as Graphic Designing, Multimedia Designing, VFX Design, Visual Communication, and Game Designing.
The course curriculum consists of CAD, CAM, product development, marketing, specialisation specific subjects, vocational subjects, elective subjects as well as personality and skills development subjects. Students who pursue B.Des course also participate as interns and take part in events as well as exhibitions at national as well as international level.
B.Des Eligibility
1. Students who have passed Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination can pursue the B.Des course.
2. Students can pursue the course irrespective of streams i.e. Science, Commerce, Arts and Humanities.
3. The age limit for admission to B.Des courses is minimum 19 or 20 years as specified by the institutes at the time of admission.
B.Des Entrance Exams
For admission to B.Design courses, one has to appear for Design Entrance Exams comprising written test, drawing test and interviews.
