Direct Admission of Students Abroad Post Graduate 2019 or DASA PG 2019 is the entrance examination for admission to M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Des., Master of Planning, MBA and other courses. DASA PG 2019 is conducted by Direct Admission of Students Abroad.

DASA PG for the year 2019 has been announced by Direct Admission of Students Abroad and will be held on 24/02/2020. The application forms will be available from 01/05/2019 till 22/06/2019. The result date will be announced later.

Age

  • There is no restriction on age limit.

Academic Eligibility

Applicants must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Four/Five year undergraduate programme in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des./MURP and an appropriate UG degree for MBA programme from any stream of education recognized as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiuweb.org) / UGC (www.ugc.ac.in)/ AICTE (www.aicte-india.org)/ other statutory bodies as applicable. For the eligibility matrix giving details of degree disciplines eligible for each of the programmes, please refer DASA website www.dasanit.org.

AND

Must have secured a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.50 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying examination. In case, CGPA on a differentscale is awarded OR if only grades are awarded, percentage/CGPA equivalence provided by the principal examination authorities will only be considered. Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2019-20and expecting their final results latest by September 15, 2019may also apply. Some M.Tech. Programmes have special conditions for eligibility which are listed on the DASA website www.dasanit.org. The applicant has to check these conditions and he/she will be responsible for satisfying these conditions.

Must have a valid minimum total of 300 GRE Revised General Test Score (Verbal + Quantitativefor eligibility for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des. and minimum of 480 GMAT Test Score for MBA programme. GRE test score has to be sent directly through ETS to NITK Surathkal(Institute Code: 0493 ). GMAT Score is also to be sent directly from GMAC to NITK Surathkal(Institute code:CQC). Application Form Filling Instructions

Submission of Application
The submission of application is a two stage process, both of which are essential.

  • Online application (www.dasanit.org) and submission of required documents online (scanned and uploaded). No hard copy of the application or supporting documents needs to be sent.
  • SAT subject test score to be sent to NITK Surathkal through College Board, USA (Institute Code 653)

Online Application
We recommend use of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser while using the DASA admission portal. Internet Explorer (IE) is not recommended
The Online process involves the following steps:

Registration:

Create an account at www.dasanit.org by entering the following details to register:

  • Email ID (valid email ID to which a web link will be mailed to complete the registration process). This will be your username.
  • Captcha words (in the space provided).
  • Once correct details are entered, click Create my account.
  • An email will be sent to your email address with a link to complete the registration. Check your email and click the web link.
  • Enter Applicant ID (given in the email).
  • Enter Password (preferably a combination of uppercase, lowercase, number and symbol to be chosen by the applicant).
  • Confirm Password.
  • Once correct details are entered, registration is complete.
  • Applicants are advised to note the Applicant ID and password for future logins (for completing the application form and checking the status of the application etc) and to keep it confidential.

DASA 2020 – Direct Admission of Students Abroad

DASA 2020 - DASA stand for Direct Admission of Students Abroad. DASA is a scheme of the HRD Ministry for admissions to premier institutes of India offering engineering/architecture/planning/management programmes at the UG (Undergraduate) and PG (Postgraduate) level. As part of the scheme, admissions are provided to Foreign Nationals/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India to programs by the NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), SPAs (School of Planning and Architecture) and other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes. It is an initiative by the Government of India. Only NRIs (Non Resident Indian), foreign nationals and PIOs (Person of Indian Origin) are eligible for the DASA scheme.

DASA requires applicants to write SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Math Level 2 instead of the standard JEE Mains in order to get admission into NITs, IIITs and other premier institutes of India (IITs not included). Read More...
