Joint Entrance Screening Test 2020 or JEST 2020 is the entrance examination for admission to Ph.D. (Physics), Ph.D. (Neuroscience), Ph.D. (Theoretical Computer Science), Ph.D. (Computational Biology), M.Tech. - Ph.D. (Physics) (Integrated) and other courses. JEST 2020 is conducted by The Science and Engineering Research Board.
JEST for the year 2020 has been announced by The Science and Engineering Research Board and will be held on 16/02/2020. The application forms will be available from 21/11/2019 till 21/12/2019. The exam is in written mode. It is being conducted in English language. Admit card will be available from 22/01/2020. The result date will be announced later.

The Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) (statutory body established through an Act of Parliament) recognizes JEST as a National Eligibility Test (NET) in their office Memo vide OM No.SB/S9/Z-01/2015. Fellows working in SERB programmes and qualified in NET are eligible to get enhanced fellowship.

To apply online, applicants must create an account using a valid email-id. This account will remain valid from the time of account creation till one month after the date of declaration of results, for that year. Email-ids are linked to the created account as well as to the application, and will be used for all communications with the applicants.
