Kerala University Entrance Exam for Master of Technology 2020 or KU M.Tech. Entrance Exam 2020 is the entrance examination for admission to M.Tech. (Computer Science), M.Tech. (Electronics and Communication Engg.) and M.Tech. (Technology Management). KU M.Tech. Entrance Exam 2020 is conducted by University of Kerala.
The application forms will be available from 01/02/2020 till 20/03/2020. The exam is in written mode. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. It is being conducted in English language. The result date will be announced later.

KU M.Tech. Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
- Nativity: Candidate should be an Indian citizen. For foreign candidates, relevant regulations apply.
- Indulgence in Ragging as disqualification: If an applicant for admission is found to have indulged in ragging in the past or if it is noticed later that he/she had indulged in ragging, admissions shall be denied or he/she shall be expelled from the institution. The student at the time of admission should give an undertaking as per the provisions of anti-ragging verdict by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India (Annexure VI).
Educational Qualification
Students who have pursued bachelors Degree under 10+2+4 scheme or Masters Degree under 10+2+3+2/10+2+3+3 schemes from the University of Kerala or a degree recognized as equivalent thereto, and who have secured the following, shall be eligible for admission to M.Tech programmes:
- CGPA of 2.2 or above in a 4 - point scale or
- 3.8 or above in a 7 -point scale or
- 5.5 or above in a 10-point scale or
- 55% or above in case of Bachelor Degrees which award marks
Relaxation for candidates from SC/ST category shall be as follows:
- CGPA of 2.0 or above in a 4-point scale
- 3.5 or above in a 7-point scale
- 5.0 or above in a 10-point scale
- 50% or above in case of Bachelor Degrees which award marks.
- Candidate shall secure at least 25% (20% for SC/ST category) of the average marks of the stream in the entrance examination conducted by the University of Kerala.
- Candidate shall hold Bachelor degree in subjects specified in Schedule I, for admission to corresponding M.Tech. Programmes. The CSSAC shall be competent to recommend revisions to Annexure I from time to time, on recommendations of the Department Councils.
- Candidate who have written the Bachelors degree Examination and awaiting results can also apply.
- Any candidate admitted to a PG Programme of this University in any subject in earlier years shall be
eligible to apply for admission to any M.Tech. Programme.

Marking Scheme |
Entrance examinations shall consist of 60 Multiple
Choice Questions for 60 marks and descriptive type question for 40 marks covering subject knowledge at qualifying examination and/ or logical and numerical reasoning, for maximum of 2 hours. The descriptive part contain 8 questions out of 12 of 5 marks each. |
Negative Marking |
There shall be 0.25 negative mark for each wrong answer for multiple
choice questions in entrance examination. |

Online Admit Cards: The Admit Card for the Entrance Examination can be downloaded from the official website of the University of Kerala, admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in . The candidates will have to enter their Application number and Password in order to download the admit card. They will have to take a printout of the admit card. Admit cards will not be sent by post from the University. The venue of the examination and time table will be given in the admit card.

Resolving of Tie
In the case of more than one candidate obtaining equal marks in the Entrance Examinations
the candidates who has scored higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination upto vith semester in the case of B. Tech Programmes, will be placed higher in ranking. If the tie persists, the candidate who has scored higher percentage of marks in core subject upto vith semester in the case of B. Tech Programmes, will be placed higher in ranking.
