Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Post Graduate Programmes 2019 or Maharashtra PGP / PGO / PGASLP / M.Sc (P and O) - CET 2019 is the entrance examination for admission to MPT, Master of Occupational Therapy, M.Sc. (Audiology and Speech Language Pathology), M.Sc. (Prosthetics and Orthotics), MPT (Musculoskeletal) and other courses. Maharashtra PGP / PGO / PGASLP / M.Sc (P and O) - CET 2019 is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai.

Maharashtra PGP / PGO / PGASLP / M.Sc (P and O) - CET for the year 2019 has been announced by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai and will be held on 25/08/2019. The application forms will be available from 09/08/2019 till 15/08/2019. The exam is in online mode. The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes. It is being conducted in English language. Admit card will be available from 20/08/2019. Result is expected to be announced on 20/09/2019.

Maharashtra PGP / PGO / PGASLP / M.Sc (P and O) - CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or valid passport or School Leaving Certificate of HSC/12th Std. indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the proof of nationality.
  • Non Resident Indians (NRI) are eligible only for maximum 15% NRI Quota seats in the Unaided Private/Minority colleges.
  • Non Resident Indians (NRI) are not eligible for any other seat except NRI quota seats in unaided private and Private Minority colleges, subject to fulfillment of NRI status.
  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are Not eligible for any seat under Competent Authority, State CET Cell.
  • A candidate, who has passed A) final B.P.Th./ B.O.Th. examination (recognized as per Maharashtra State Council for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Act 2002): B) Final BASLP/BPO examination (recognized As per The Rehabilitation Council of India Act 1992); from an college/institution situated in the State of Maharashtra is eligible to appear for this examination provided he/she has completed prescribed duration of compulsory rotating internship by 31st August 2019. 
  • A candidate who is undergoing rotating internship and who is likely to complete the same by 31st August 2019 can appear for PGP-CET2019/PGO-CET2019/ PGASLP (PGSLP)- CET 2019 & M.Sc.(P&O)-CET 2019. Such a candidate will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the date of completion of internship at the time of Document Verification process. (Annexure “L” in the prospectus)
  • The candidate must be medically fit.
  • All candidates desirous to take admission for M.PTh. / M.OTh./ MASLP (MSc SLP)/ MSc. (P&O) courses under state quota or Institutional quota must have appeared for PGP-CET2019 / PGO-CET2019 / PGASLP (PGSLP)- CET 2019 & M.Sc.(P&O)- CET 2019 and declared eligible by the Competent Authority.
  • Candidates belonging to Backward Classes / SEBC must have claimed so in his online registration form of Maharashtra State, failing which such a claim will not be entertained subsequently. The candidate belonging to above Categories should produce Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, (wherever applicable) at the time of physical document verification process. Candidate who fails to produce above-said certificates will be considered as Open Category Candidate provided he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria of Open candidate as per PGP - CET2019 / PGOCET2019 / PGASLP (PGSLP) - CET 2019 & M.Sc.(P&O) - CET 2019 information brochure.
  • EWS category reservation will be made applicable only after approval from State Government in due course.
  • A Reserve category candidate must claim his category at the time of registration; to claim such a category no document is required initially. A candidate belonging to a category but not having any physical document can also claim category reservation during registration process; however he/she must produce the said certificates at the time of document uploading / physical document verification process so as to avail respective category claim.
  • A Candidate belonging to ‘Creamy Layer’ amongst the categories (VJ) DT -A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC and SEBC must note that the provision of reservation is NOT applicable to him / her. A candidate claiming benefit of reservation under these categories will be required to produce Non-Creamy Layer Certificate as specified in the Govt. Resolutions form time to time. The certificate in prescribed Proforma stating that it is valid up to 31/3/2020 should be submitted at the time of document uploading / physical document verification process.
  • A Candidate belonging to EWS category will be required to produce Eligibility certificate for Economically Weaker Section in prescribed format as specified in Government Resolution from time to time.

    • The Competent Authority shall issue Notice regarding online application form process. The information Brochure containing procedures for Online Common Entrance Test for admission to MPTh, MOTh, MASLP(MSc.SLP)- & MSc. (P&O) Postgraduate courses in State of Maharashtra will be made available on website www.mahacet.org An applicant seeking admission through PGP-CET2019/PGOCET2019/PGASLP-CET 2019 & M.Sc.(P&O)-CET 2019. Will be required to submit single prescribed online application form (ANNEXURE "E" in the prospectus Specimen Copy of online application form).
    • Cost of online application form of PGP-CET2019/PGO-CET2019/PGASLP(PGSLP) -CET 2019 & M.Sc.(P&O)-CET 2019 & examination fee is Rs. 2000/-. This amount is not refundable.
    • PGP-CET2019/PGO-CET2019/PGASLP(PGSLP)-CET 2019 & M.Sc.(P&O)-CET 2019 will be conducted online at Mumbai only.
    • The information Brochure and online registration Form will be available from 09/08/2019 to 15/08/2019. Before filling Online Application form candidates should download information brochure of PGP-CET2019/PGO-CET2019/ PGASLP(PGSLP) -CET 2019 & M.Sc (P&O)-CET 2019 and read the same carefully.     Examination Day Instructions

    CANDIDATES REPORTING LATE i.e. after the reporting time specified on the admit card for Examination candidate will not be permitted to take the examination. The reporting time mentioned on the admit card is prior to the Start time of the test. Though the duration of the examination is 1.30 hours, candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 3 hours including the time required for completion of various formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions.

    In the examination hall admit card along with original and a photocopy of the candidate’s currently valid photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the admit card) such as PAN Card / Passport / Driving Licence / Voter’s Card / valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College / University / Aadhar / E Aadhar card with a photograph / Employee ID with photograph should be submitted / shown to the invigilator for verification. The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the admit card, in the Attendance List. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the Examination.

    Ration Card are not valid id proofs for this examination.

    Note: Candidates have to produce / show in original the photo identity proof and show the photo identity proof along with Examination admit card while attending the examination, without which they will not be allowed to take up the examination. Candidates must note that the name as appearing on the admit card (provided during the process of registration) should exactly match the name as appearing on the photo identity proof. Female candidates who have changed first / last / middle name post marriage must take special note of this. If there is any mismatch between the name indicated in the Admit card and Photo Identity Proof the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination. In case of candidates who have changed their name, will be allowed only if they produce original Gazette notification / their original marriage certificate / affidavit in original.

    Candidates are not to be allowed if they do not bring the following material.

    • Original Admit Card with Photograph Pasted on it.
    • Original Photo ID proof as given in the admit card. 

    Candidates are advised in their own interest that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered with or fabricated and should not suppress any material information while submitting online application. At the time of examination, or in a subsequent selection procedure, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of –  

    • using unfair means or 
    • impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or
    • misbehaving in the examination hall or disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage of contents of the test(s) or any information therein in whole or part thereof in any form or by any means, verbal or written, electronically or mechanically for any purpose or 
    • resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his / her candidature or
    • obtaining support for his/ her candidature by unfair means, or
    • carrying mobile phones or similar electronic devices of communication in the examination hall, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself / herself liable to criminal prosecution, be liable :
      • to be disqualified from the examination for which he / she is a candidate 
      • to be debarred either permanently or for a specified period from any examination conducted by competent Authority
    • Adopting an unfair means or engaging in malpractice in the examination shall render a candidate liable for punishment under, “Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act, Universities, Board and Other Specified Examination Act, 1982” and disqualify him / her for PGP-CET2019 / PGO-CET2019 / PGASLP(PGSLP)-CET 2019 & Ms.(P&O)-CET 2019 examination.
    • All candidates selected for admission shall be subject to the disciplinary rules of the Institution, University and Government and local authority.
