Eligibility
School of Chemical Sciences: (a) General candidates: A minimum first division in both 10 & 10+2 levels and a minimum of first class (60% marks in aggregate in Chemistry Honours papers or equivalent) in B.Sc. (Chemistry-Honours) with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiaries or a first class (60% marks or equivalent in aggregate) in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics for Universities that do not offer Honours degree at the B.Sc level; (b) Reserved candidates: A minimum 55% marks in 10 & 10+2 levels and a minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Chemistry Honours papers or equivalent in B.Sc. (Chemistry-Honours) with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiaries or minimum 50% marks or equivalent in aggregate in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics for Universities that do not offer Honours degree at the B.Sc level. Candidates applying from the universities that are not providing Honours degree should clearly mention "Honours degree not provided" in their applications. Those who have appeared in the final examination may also apply but their final selection will be subject to securing the required percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. The Candidate with Chemistry (Hons.) should provide only Honours marks, whereas the candidates from those universities that do not offer Honours degree, the marks should be provided as the overall percentage for Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Eligible applicants will be required to appear for a written screening test in chemistry.

School of Physical Sciences: A general candidate seeking admission to this course should have a minimum first division in both class X & class XII level examinations and should satisfy one of the following criteria. i) A minimum first class (60% marks in aggregate in Physics Honours papers or equivalent) in B.Sc. (Physics Honours) with Mathematics and Chemistry/Statistics/Others as subsidiaries ii) A first class (60% marks or equivalent in aggregate) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Statistics/Others for universities that do not offer Honours degree at the B.Sc. level. Candidates belonging to the reserved category should have a minimum of 55% marks in both class X and class XII level examination and a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in Physics Honours papers or equivalent in B.Sc. (Physics-Honours) with Mathematics and Chemistry/Statistics/Others as subsidiaries or 55% marks or equivalent in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Statistics/ Others for Universities that do not offer Honours degree at the B.Sc. level. Reservation of seats will be as per the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation In Admission) Act, 2006. Candidates meeting the above criteria will be screened through a written test and selected on the basis of a final interview.

Eligibility
Students from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or Medicine background are eligible to Master's/Integrated Master's-PhD Program in the School of Applied & Interdisciplinary Sciences (a) General candidates: A minimum first division in both 10 & 10+2 levels and a minimum of first class (60% marks in aggregate in Chemistry or Biology or Physics Honours papers or equivalent in B.Sc. (Chemistry or Biology or Physics-Honours) with any two of Physics/ Chemistry/Mathematics/Biology as subsidiaries or a first class (60% marks or equivalent in aggregate) in Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Mathematics for Universities that do not offer Honours degree at the B.Sc level. For students coming from Medicine or Engineering background, minimum first division in both 10 & 10+2 levels and 60% marks in aggregate of all the major topics covered in the Bachelor’s degree. (b) Reserved candidates: A minimum 55% in both 10 & 10+2 levels and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Chemistry or Biology or Physics Honours papers or equivalent in B.Sc. (Chemistry or Biology or Physics-Honours) with any two of Physics/ Chemistry/Mathematics/Biology as subsidiaries or 50% marks or equivalent in aggregate in Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Mathematics for Universities that do not offer Honours degree at the B.Sc. level. For students coming from Medicine or Chemical Engineering background, minimum 55% in both 10 & 10+2 levels and 50% marks in aggregate of all the major topics covered in the Bachelor’s degree
