Courses After 12th Commerce
Commerce is one of the most popular streams among class 12 students, which enables them to choose wide-ranging careers in the field of finance and economics. Commerce as a stream offers students the chance to explore the corporate world with high paying salaries. Some of the most preferred courses among commerce students include:
1. B. Com, Bachelor of Commerce:
It is a three-year course which offers high paying job opportunities in the Public and private sectors in accountancy, finance and clerical arenas. Upon completing graduation, students can either take up M. Com for an academic job or get into MBA to explore the corporate sector.
2. CA, Chartered Accountancy:
It is usually a professional multi-level five-year bachelor degree after completing which, eligible students can take up lucrative jobs with accounting firms, private companies, and as consultants. To pursue CA, candidates must clear the CPT Exam before getting into a reputed university and need to register with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI.
3. BBA + LLB, Bachelor of Business Administration + Legislative Law Honours:
This is an integrated Administrative Law professional course, which offers students a complete package in securing good jobs in the private sector, as a consultant, or even for private practice. It is a five-year course upon clearing common tests like CLAT, LSAT, etc. Students can even take up courses in Integrated Corporate law as an emerging field of specialisation.
4. BBA + BMS, Bachelor of Business Administration + Management Studies:
This course acts as a precursor to an MBA and is associated with a career in Business Management. Completing the degree offers students high paying jobs in both, public and private sectors. However, many MNC’s offer eligible graduates well-paying management and finance-related posts with great rising opportunities.
This is a research-oriented field for high ranking students with a wide range of specialties including international trade to government policies. This course offers a wide range of professional opportunities in public and private sectors and is highly in demand, both in India and abroad.
