IIT-Jodhpur will be offering MBA courses at its new ‘School of Management and Entrepreneurship’ in the new academic session which is going to start in July 2020. This new course MBA programme will be a “tech-management combo” in which the first will be a foundation course and the second one will be the specialization in different areas.
The Director of IIT Jodhpur, Mr. Santanu Chaudhury explained the need for this course and says that most of the typical MBA programs are losing their charm due to the Al and analytics-led technology trends and the emergence of “new age corporations”. He added, “This scenario is asking for newer skill set and value propositions in MBA programs,” he said.
IIT Jodhpur is working with some business schools which are reputed by several other countries like North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia to provide international exposure to the students. He then added, “In today’s scenario, IIT campuses are much closer and capable to play a bigger role in realizing ambitious national goals. What they need is to diversify academics to newer disciplines where technology influence is deep and wide,”
