Union Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, announced on Thursday, 31st December 2020 that the Central Board of Secondary Education would conduct the examinations for classes 10th and 12th from 4th May to 10 June 2021.
These are the dates for theoretical exams only practical exams will be held from 1st March. He also stated that the results might be out on July 15. Though a few days back, he stated that it might not be possible to conduct the exams during the Covid time, now the dates are out. He even confirmed that these Board Exams are going to be conducted in an offline mode only, and answer sheets will be checked by teachers manually, as always.
Dr. Pokhriyal made this announcement through a live video on his social media platforms. He stated that our nation has shifted to technology-based education due to this whole pandemic situation. He appreciated all the students for their consistent support and cooperation throughout the journey.
He thankedl the teachers who worked really hard to guide students through an online medium. They discovered innovative ways to make the online sessions interesting and interactive. Every year the examinations for these Board classes happened from February till March, but now due to the pandemic, everything has been postponed. Therefore the results have been pushed from May to June. The Union Minister even mentioned that students should not burden themselves with Boards exams pressure and wished good luck to all the candidates.
