MU Final-Year Exams: Students Say MCQs Copied from Online Samples

Final-year students in some of the major law colleges in Mumbai have claimed that their MCQs have been straight-up picked up from already available sets on the internet. In at least two colleges, students stated that the questions being picked up from online samples for the judicial services exam. They also added that this was unfair since the samples mentioned were at the same level of difficulty as for the students preparing to be lawyers.

One such student stated that over 50% of all questions were directly picked from online sets which caused the exam level to be very difficult for students who are only studying law as their bachelor’s degree. He bought the situation to the notice of the college authorities after which he was allowed to give the exam again. However, the questions were again from an online set the second time around.

Another law student stated that there were many more situational questions in the Evidence Act Paper than the sample papers. This further increased the level of testing to a level that undergraduate students cannot be expected to give. The college authorities are yet to comment about this.
