UPSC Candidates can Change Centre for Civil Services Prelims Exam 2020

UPSC allows candidates to change exam centre for Civil Service Prelims Exams 2020

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) allows the candidates who are appearing for the Civil Services Prelims Exams 2020 which has been scheduled for October 4, 2020, to change the exam centres. Earlier the examination has been scheduled to be held on May 31 but was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic.

To make changes in the exam centre students need to visit the official website upsconline.nic.in. The window for submitting the revised choices of the candidate’s centre will be operational in two phases. The first phase will be starting from 7th July to 13th July 2020 at 6 pm and second phase will be operational from 20th July-24th July at 6 pm.

UPSC has allowed the change of exam centre because many aspirants have to travel for the exam from different places which can risk their health. Apart from this, the students are given an option to change the centres for UPSC main examination 2020

Although the request for a change in centres will be considered against the enhanced capacity which is intimated by the centres. Therefore the candidates might be allotted the centres on first come first serve basis. Thus the students who could not get their respective centres can choose from the remaining centres.

The withdrawal window for the candidates will be opened from August 1- 8, 2020. All the terms and conditions for the withdrawal of the application will be the same as mentioned in the notice.
