UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2026 Likely This Week
Candidates appearing for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination and the Indian Forest Service Examination 2026 are awaiting the release of the results, which could conclude this week. According to the pattern of previous examinations, the results may be announced around 10 June. The results will be released in PDF format on the official website upsc.gov.in, where you can check your results by roll number.
Successful Candidates to Qualify for UPSC Mains 2026
The Union Public Service Commission will release the results in PDF format, which will include roll numbers. Only those candidates who secure a place on the merit list will be deemed successful for the main examination.

Key Details About UPSC Mains Papers and Marking Scheme
The UPSC Mains examination consists of 9 papers, of which 7 are compulsory. Each paper is worth 250 marks. Additionally, the 2 papers – the Indian Language paper and the English Language paper – are worth a total of 300 marks. Please note that the merit list for the mains exam is prepared based on the 7 compulsory papers. Marks from the language papers are not included in the merit list, but passing them is mandatory.
