LUCKNOW: University of Lucknow has decided to conduct Uttar Pradesh B.Ed. Joint Entrance Exam for the session 2020-21 as was scheduled on this Sunday, August 9. The university has also produced detailed guidelines on the official website, on Wednesday, addressing the probability of availability of public and private transport and permission over movement on examination day, i.e. on Sunday.
Officials of the University of Lucknow clarified that the government has provided the permission of movement for the candidates on both, August 8th and August 9th. They must carry their admit cards, to and fro, while commuting or travelling to the examination centre.
Professor Amita Bajpal, State B.Ed. Coordinator, confirmed that as per the directions given by the government, movement on every Saturday and Sunday was restricted in order to curb the spread of Covid-19; however, the government has given permission for movement of candidates, who applied for the examination. She further added that in order to commute to the examination centre, the candidates must produce their exam admit cards for a hassle-free travel on the lockdown days.
There is supposedly two phases in which the examination will be conducted, i.e. from hours 9:00-12:00 and from hours 14:00-17:00 on August 9, 2020. Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre an hour before the scheduled time, she added.
There will be the strict following of the Covid-19 protocols at every examination centre. Sanitization and thermal scanning is compulsory and will be ensured. There will be a total of more than 4.3lakh candidates taking the examination at 1,089 centres all over the state.
