There are almost 15,000 seats available at UG level in as many as 11 disciplines and over 7,000 students at PG and 1700 at PhD level. BSc and BSc Hons in agriculture include varied disciplines of agriculture including Agronomy, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture etc. BSc in Agriculture differs from routine BSc as the main focus is on agriculture. Usually BSc in agriculture degree is associated with specialization; e.g. animal science, plant protection, soil science, agricultural engineering etc.Eligibility criteria for admission in BSc and BSc Hons Agriculture require completion of 10+2 (PCB/ PCM) with 55% marks.
It’s a four-year program and the course is divided into 8 semesters. The four-year program provides related knowledge, practical skills, and competencies in agriculture. BSc prepares students for a wide range of careers related to the agriculture industry and other allied industries.
