Online applications are invited for admission in the remaining subjects for the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes through entrance test MPAT - 2018 (Phase-II). Online applications may be submitted from 17th October, 2019 to 26th October, 2019. The hard copy of the application form along with photo copies of  necessary Documents must reach to the office of the Department of Physics, University of Rajasthan from 31 October, 2019 to 2nd November, 2019. UNIRAJ MPAT (Phase II) 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • M.Phil.

A candidate for admission to the courses of study for the degree of M.Phil. must have obtained Master's degree in the subject or any allied subject in which he/she wishes to pursue the course or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the University of Rajasthan, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited with equivalent grade and recognized by the Govt. of India. The Master' s degree should have been obtained aner taking the Bachelor's degree course prescribed for the degree or it shall be awarded on completion Of a five year integrated course.

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non - creamy layer) / MBC (non - creamy layer) / EWS / Differently abled or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace marks procedures.

  • Ph.d.

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the University of Rajasthan, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade / CGPA in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the pumse of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions. Such Agency should be approved, recognized by the Government of India.

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) / MBC (non-creamy layer) / EWS / Differently abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the University nom time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19m September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the marks without including the mark

Application Form Filling Instructions

  • First registration online and make payment (Rs. 2550 / -), your USER ID and Password will be sent to your email, only after making payment you can fill the form by clicking on LOGIN, your USER ID and Password (10 digit Mobile no.) Is also given on your Fees Receipt.
  • Please fill one form at a time from the browser and after downloading the form, you must log out.
  • Carefully read the information filled by you before making the payment. Data filled after payment will not be able to be converted.
  • Before filling the form, make sure that you have M.Phil. And Ph.D. Have read and understood the guidelines related to the programmes.

Candidate Registration

  • Start the procedure of Registration by creating login account
  • In registration window enter your Full name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Date of Birth ( As mentioned in your Secondary School Certificate), Sex, Mobile No. and a valid E-mail ID.
  • Important Note : You can not change these entries at any stage
  • After completion of Registration process you will get " USER ID" and "Password" on your email account you mentioned during the process of Registration. 
  • Important Note :If you donot get your USER ID and Password in your Inbox. Please Check Spam/Junk folder of your E-Mail Account.
  • Keep your USER ID and Password for future References.

Note:

Those students who have already filled online application for Uniraj MPAT-2018 (Phase II) vide advertisement appeared in Rajasthan Patrika, Dainik Bhaskar (All Rajasthan Editions) and Times of India / Hindustan Times (Delhi. Edition) on 24th July, 2019. They do not need to fill their online application again.

UNIRAJ MPAT (Phase II) 2019 Syllabus

There will be two papers for each M.Phil. / Ph.D. programme and examination for both the papers shall be conducted in a single session of 3 hours duration. Duration of the Paper —I will be one hour and duration of the Paper —II will be two hours.

PAPER-I shall contain questions pertaining to research methodology and General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc. Separate Paper-I will be printed for science students and other students to help them. 

The syllabus of paper-I will be common to all subjects. The maximum marks allotted for Paper-I will be 100. The syllabus of Paper - I will be notified on the University website after due approval of the Academic Council and Syndicate. 

This paper will have two sections namely (A) and (B). Section (A) will have fifty (50) multiple choice questions related %ith research methodology with one correct answer of each question while section (B) will have fifty (50) multiple choice questions related with General aptitude with one correct answer of each question. Each candidate will have to attempt 50 questions from any one of these sections. Each correct answer will be awarded two marks. 

The candidate will have to obtain minimum 40% marks in the Paper-I failing which Paper- II will not be evaluated. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 40% to 35%, will be allowed for those belonging to SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer)/ MBC (non-creamy layer) / EWS / Differently abled. 

Paper —II (Based on Subject) shall be intended to assess the domain knowledge of the candidate. The syllabus of Paper-II will be recommended by concerned Board of Studies or Committee of Courses and will be notified on the University website after due approval of the Academic Council and Syndicate. 

One hundred (100) multiple choice questions with their correct answers will be asked. The maximum marks allotted for Paper-II will be 200. Each correct answer will be awarded two marks.

  • There will not be any negative marking in Paper 1 and paper-II.
