In the CBSE final exams, there is a best of five rule that is the total score of the five subjects a student has scored the highest. In these five subjects a language subject basically English is included, and the other four subjects can be anything. If a student score higher marks in physical education, it will replace the subject of lower marks. So, basically, English is always counted, and then the other four most scored subjects are added to English' marks, and the total is the best of five number.
That is not at all difficult. Even a student with average intelligence, who studies hard can score 90%. But 99% marks mean that you have mastered the complete syllabus. There is no one better than you.
There is no such limit to how many marks may be increased after the Re-evaluation of answer sheets. However, most of the time, marks remain unchanged. It's a rare chance that marks get decreased. Therefore re-evaluation of the answer sheet is totally unpredictable.
