Some of the facts about CBSE board checking are: 1) If the exam is tougher than the previous years, then the checking will be lenient and vice-versa. 2) The answers will be marked based upon the concepts mentioned in the NCERT books. 3) For language papers, neatness, handwriting, and proper formats are very important to be considered. 4) Each exam is checked twice by two different teachers. 5) Teachers give marks for formulas, so for maths paper, if you don't know how to solve the complete problem, just write the formula to get at least a few points.
To evaluate any answer booklet the board first prepares a marking scheme for every answer in all subjects. These marking schemes usually tell what are the key points a student should have written in his or her answer and what marks should be awarded for each point they have covered. These answer schemes are prepared by experienced teachers and paper setters and approved by the head examiner. Then expert teachers from CBSE schools are called upon to check the answer scripts. Teachers check papers of their subject expertise as per the answer key provided to them. The identity of the students is not disclosed to the teacher checking the answer scripts to avoid any biases.

"When compared to other nations, the Indian education system is far behind. Institutes such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, etc., lag behind top tier institutions such as IITs and IIMs.
There is a stark difference in teaching methods, realistic approach, brainstorming, etc., when we look at undergraduate programs and compare the US to India. While India is now emphasizing college-level innovation and carrying out many initiatives, it will take a long time to reach the point where Stanford Harvard is located.
Anil K Gupta, Michael D. Dingman Chair of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, University of Maryland, once claimed that institutions such as MIT and Stanford, the US powerhouses of technology, the undergraduate students coming out do not do any research. An undergraduate student who does some study may be a rare example. They're there to take courses and do assignments; they're not there to do basic projects.
This is where there is a significant gap in what happens at MIT, Stanford, Princeton, and Harvard versus what happens at IITs and IIMs when looking at the graduate programs, Ph.D. programs, and faculty studies. IIT still has a long way to go as a research institution.

A marking scheme is first prepared by the experts. That is then approved by the committee and head examiner. After exams are conducted the official answer scheme is realized and also handed over to the paper checking teachers. Teachers are strictly asked to follow the marking scheme and allot marks. After the papers are checked the total marks are tallied and rechecked before the final results are punched in

If you are not satisfied with your marks in the board exams and you expected more then you can apply for CBSE revaluation. Usually, the board activates the revaluation form link and publishes notice within 2-3 days of announcing the results. There are 3 parts to revaluation namely Verification of Marks, Photocopy of Answer Sheets, Revaluation of Answers. For each stage, there is a fee charged by the board and only those candidates who have opted for verification of marks can, later on, ask for photocopy and then ask for revaluation of an answer. You cannot directly jump to ask for a photocopy or for revaluation. You have to apply through the form available on the CBSE official website.
Having the right kind of material is absolutely necessary but along with it if you wanna ace your exams a timetable and study pattern has to be formed over time. Regular practice and revision is the key which will get you closer to your goal. Some of the recommended books from my side to ace your exams are as follows: Your NCERT should be your Bible. In any case, going through your ncert books should be your priority. when you are done you can take up RD Sharma or RS Aggarwal for maths, English Communicative – Oswaal School Books for English, Lakhmir Singh, and Manjit Kaur or SChand Publications or Pradeep Publications for Science, Navyug Hindi Vyakaran for Hindi, and for SST you can take up Golden or all in one.

First of all SAT’s have two papers SAT 1 -the one in which they check english proficiency and SAT 2 in which scientific and mathematical parts come. SAT 2 is very very easy. A standard 10th person can solve the questions and get full marks. Actually to score full marks it is not necessary to attempt all the questions. The marking scheme is way too different than the normal one. It’s like even if you make a mistake or two, you can get full marks.
