Space Science or Space Technology is a field of science (or engineering) where specialists research the Universe; In other words, space science is a branch of science that deals with the study of the Universe which initially, were considered part of astronomy.
Space science is one of the most innovative branches of science which is divided into two sections. First is Physicists, whose responsibilities mainly is in the theoretical field, to look after how things function in space and look after laboratory equipment, The second is Astronomers, whose responsibility includes the study of stars, galaxies, planets, etc. Despite the domain you choose, all paths lead to a career in the field of space science.
Pathways
An aspirant who wishes to build a career in Space Science can choose one of the below paths.
A candidate should have qualified 10+2 in the science stream with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as the principal subjects from a recognized institution/ board.
1. After 12th, one can choose Maths and physics in B.Sc and later can opt for Space Physics, Astrophysics, Astronomy. Also can go for higher specialization courses like M.Sc in the respective fields.
2. Coming to the engineering courses, an aspirant can pursue engineering in the field of Aeronautical, Avionics, Aerospace, Space Science, etc. Also can go for higher specialization courses in the respective fields.
B.Tech in Aeronautics: Mainly focus on topics from Electrical, electronics, and Computer system background.
B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering: The Aerospace engineering curriculum mainly focuses on designing knowledge.
