Bihar Counselling details for MBBS & BDS for the year 2026

In Bihar, admission and counseling process for filling Undergraduate Medical/dental seats are administered by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB), Patna. The aim is to fill the tentative 2440 MBBS and 280 BDS seats in the medical and dental colleges of Bihar. The admission to these seats will be based on the NEET 2026 score. Out of these seats, 85% seats are state quota seats for which BCECEB, Patna will conduct offline counselling on the basis of scores obtained in NEET UG and 15% are AIQ seats which will be filled by MCC on the basis of NEET 2026 Score.

Admission Process

Candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS programmes in Bihar are required to fill out the application form to participate in the counseling. The application form is available at the official website https://bceceboard.bihar.gov.in/ from 10/08/2026  to 14/08/2026 11:55 pm.

Counselling Process

For Bihar MBBS/BDS admissions, total of three rounds of counselling will be conducted including a mop-up round.

Round-I:

Online registration & choice filling:

Candidates have to register themselves online from 10/08/2026 to 14/08/2026 11:55 pm for the first round of counseling. 

Based on the choices and courses filled, NEET score & rank, seat availability and reservation criteria, Bihar MBBS/BDS 2026 admission will be granted for round-I.

The final result of seat allotment for round-I of counseling will be published by BCECEB to be announced. Candidates who will be allotted seats will be required to download their seat allotment letters and book the slots for document verification to be announced. 

Round-II

After round-I of counselling, the counseling authority will conduct a second round of counseling to fill the vacant seats as per schedule listed above.

Mop-up Round

After round-II of counselling, the counseling authority will conduct a Mop-Up Round Counseling to fill the vacant seats as per schedule.
