  • The English part of the question paper is divided into two sections, namely Reading and Writing. The Reading section alone has 5 passages, each of which has a number of individual questions that are meant to be answered after reading the passage.
  • The Writing section would require you to have a good vocabulary and knowledge of most of the popular fiction.
  • The mathematics part of the question papers is divided into two sections, one in which you can use a none-programmable scientific and graphing calculator. These sections are meant to test your arithmetic and logical abilities.
  • Most of what is present in the maths section includes topics such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, data analysis, statistics, and calculus.
  • Remember that the section which does not allow the use of a calculator will present you with challenging arithmetic problems, which might even include basic addition, so you need to maintain your accuracy.
  • The scoring in SAT varies from 400 to 1600. A fun fact is that the co-founder of Microsoft, Paul Allen scored a perfect 1600 while Bill Gates scored 1590 and they both took these scores to Harvard.

  • You need to stay calm throughout the exam, no matter what challenges you face. This will help you maintain your focus and ensure that you are able to solve all questions with your 100% capability.
  • Make sure that your passport is valid and has not yet expired.
  • Pack all your essentials, such as admit card, pencils, non-programmable scientific and graphing calculator and an eraser, the night before your exam.
  • Ensure that you get at least 8 hours of sleep the night prior to your exam.
  • Do not prepare any new topics the day before or try to revise on the day of the exam.
  • Keep social media out of the equation at least a week before the exam day.
