JEE Main 2021 : Benefits Of Multiple Sessions And Updates By The NTA

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 will be held four times a year from 2021 although this facility is not for everyone. The National Testing Agency has released the application form at jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the latest update issued by NTA, the first session of JEE Main 2021 will begin from 23 to 26 February, the second session would commence from 15 to 18 March, the third session from 27 to 30 April and the fourth session from 24 to 28 May. The admissions to BArch and B-planning with both paper 2A and paper 2B will be held in the February and May sessions as usual whereas for the engineering aspirants or B-Tech admissions the exam will be held as per the latest sessions notified by the NTA.

NTA has structured that the JEE Main exam would consist of a total of 90 questions where the candidates can attempt 75 questions only, as the option for internally choosing in exams shall be accessible to all the students. Section A shall comprise multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and section B shall comprise questions, where candidates have to answer any five questions out of 10, filled in as a numerical value. There is no negative marking for section B, as the candidates are well- equipped to have a choice in Section B and answer wisely to their choices before their final submission. As per rules, candidates can apply for one or more sessions while filling up their forms but in case if an attempt is missed by the candidate for which they have applied, not only do they have to submit an application for refund but also move forward in their attempt for the next session in the same year which would lessen the opportunity, as the candidate would be considered highest in terms of marks only in that one session while calculating the result.
