Updates In JEE Main Exam 2021

JEE MAIN 2021 exam pattern has been completely changed, and the number of questions in the exam has been increased from 75 to 90. Each subject will have 30 questions now. Section B consists of numerical questions and candidates will have the option to answer any five questions out of 10. There is no choice in section A. 

HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal expressed that the JEE  main 2021 will greatly reduce the  board exams and entrance exam stress.  Jee main 2021 Phase 1 exam will be conducted from February 23 to 26, 2021. 

Some major changes in the exam pattern :

  • This year, the number of questions has increased. 
  • Out of 90 questions, the candidate can answer any 75 questions. 
  • Section B in each subject will have 10 questions out of which the candidate can answer any five. 
  • The section B will not have any negative marking. 
  • Jee main from  2021 onwards, will be conducted in 13 languages. 

    There will be three subject physics, chemistry and mathematics. Each subject will have 20 MCQs type questions and 10 numerical value questions. In MCQs for each correct answer you will get four marks and for each wrong answer one negative mark, while numerical value questions with no negative mark will be there. Each subject will be of 100 marks and the total exam will be of 300 marks.
