Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 To Skill 8 Lakh Youth

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana has launched its third stage on 15th January in 600 districts across India. This scheme was started by the Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mahendrenath Pandey, in the presence of Mr. Raj Kumar Singh, the Minister of State. In this phase, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) aims to train approximately 8 lakh candidates. This project focuses on the new-age and COVID- related skills, as declared by MSDE.  The covid-19 pandemic has severely hit the world, and the focus of MSDE is to improve the newer version of the scheme. This version will match the current system theory and energize the skilled ecosystem affected due to the pandemic. The outlay of this whole project is approximately Rs. 948.90 crore. The 729 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs) includes non- PMKK training centers and more than 200 ITIs under The Skill India. These will be rolling out PMKVY 3.0 training.

This will be a more trainee and learner-centric approach. The main aim is to reduce the demand and supply gap by promoting skill development in areas of new age and industry job roles. It will encourage healthy competition between different states. This scheme focuses on Vocal for Local it will identify the job roles on the local level and skill the youth for various job opportunities.
