PRAYAGRAJ: Allahabad University has given out the notice with a detailed schedule for conducting the entrance exams to provide admission to students into various courses of Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. The entrance test is scheduled to be conducted between 26th September and 5th October. It will take place at 10 different cities throughout the country other than Prayagraj.
The strength of aspirants who have applied in various courses counted after the final date of fee submission is 1,29,333. These candidates have completed the registration process successfully. Out of these, a total of 68,235 candidates registered for undergraduate courses involving BSc, BA, and BCom.
Prof. Prashant Aarwal, Director of Admissions, said that around 104 examination centers will be prepared in 11 cities across the country and the test will be conducted in three phases. The tests will be conducted in online mode at 46 centers while 58 centers will have it in offline mode. Among the list, around 53 centers are being prepared in Prayagraj itself, out of which 16 have online mode preparations and 37 centers with offline mode guidelines. He further added that the authorities are trying their best to have the results declared by the second week of October, following which the process of admissions will commence.
Shailendra Rai, Member of Admission Cell, said that during the first phase which is scheduled to take place on 26th September, the test regarding BSc Mathematics and Bsc Biology will be conducted from 09:30 to 11:30 hours in the first shift. In the second shift, the test for BSc Home Science and BCom will be conducted from 14:00 to 16:00 hours.
The tests regarding BA, BPA, and BFA will be held on 27th September in the first shift and the second shift will have the entrance test for BA-LLB. On 29th September the entrance test regarding three years LLB course will be conducted in the second shift. PGAT(phase one) entrance test and tests for qualifying admissions in LLM and MCom courses will be held in the first shift on 30th September, the second shift will have the same exams.
1st October has been scheduled to have the entrance tests for different courses in both shifts. Once this is done, the PGAT (phase two) entrance test has been scheduled in the third phase. The entrance tests for the courses offered by the Institute of Professional Studies have also been scheduled in the third phase throughout the 3rd, 4th, and 5th October.
However, the authorities of the university have yet to release the notification regarding the Combined Research Entrance Test (CERT) program.
