Stepwise Preparations Towards Conducting Offline Examinations

After adapting themselves to the newly advanced  technological mode of online learning for nearly 10 months now, not only the schools but also the students and parents are heading towards preparing for offline examinations of Class 10 and 12. CBSE had announced in the recent past to hold class 10 and 12 examinations offline in the month of May, on account of which many schools have also started re-opening and holding offline classes along with their pre-board examinations. Yet, there are parents who are still hesitant in sending their children to schools subsequent to the Covid-19 pandemic. Though the vaccines have reportedly been transported, it might take time to be articulated among everyone, therefore the risk highly remains in the forefront of not abiding to send their children to schools. But with small combined steps, we all need to fight this pandemic out by taking appropriate decisions that must be highly acknowledged and at the same time advantageous for everyone.

LET’S HAVE A LOOK AT WHAT PEOPLE SAID AND EXPRESSED ON THE REOPENING OF SCHOOLS AND CONDUCTING EXAMS OFFLINE

·        Aarti Ahuja, a mother of a 12th standard student of a private school, expressed her opinion in conducting board examinations in a distant mode, as she thinks both teachers and the children have adapted well to this new form of online education for merely ten months now.

·        Rajneesh Kumar, father of a class 10th student urged the government and the schools to conduct online classes and examinations at least for some more time, since this speck of virus is still in the air.

·        Rajiv Sharma, principal of Spring Dale Senior adds to how the administration is busy in discussing the modalities for the board as well as house examinations (referring to the context of conducting exams offline for both classes 10 and 12, as per the indication laid down by CBSE). He said that the main motive would be to prepare the students in offline mode in the schools in the form of pre-board exams, thus ensuring that they would have some written practice before the offline mode. In this context, the principal also exhibited responses from both parents and students towards offline examinations, where there are yet many divided opinions and issues arising prominently in terms of transportation and maintaining covid 19 SOP’s.

·        A.S. Gill, principal of Khalsa College Public School said that there was an gratifying response from the students, specially students of classes 9 and onwards who visited their school premises and have appeared in the pre-board examinations offline (as per the guidelines of CBSE) for nearly past one and a half to two months. The school shall conduct another examination so that students can prepare themselves well enough and have sufficient time for offline board examinations (whenever to be held).
