Courses available for admission

  1. BSc (Hons) in Mathematics as well as Computer Science (3 year course).
  2. BSc (Hons) in Mathematics as well as Physics (3 year course).
  3. MSc in Mathematics.
  4. MSc in Computer Science.
  5. MSc in Data Science.
  6. PhD in Mathematics.
  7. PhD in Computer Science.
  8. PhD.in Physics.
  • There is an entrance examination for both the B.Sc. (Hons.) programmes. 
  • One need not select the program at the time of applying. 
  • The selection is made after admission.
  • For admission to PhD in Physics, candidates must take the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST).

 

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:

  • For BSc (Hons.) Math as well as Computer Science: 12th class or comparable.
  • For BSc (Hons) Math and also Physics: 12th class or comparable.
  • For MSc in Mathematics:  Bachelor's Degree, BSc, BE, BTech and other undergraduate level with a background in maths.
  • For MSc in Computer Science: Undergraduate degree like BA, BSc, BE, BTech, etc with a background in computer technology.
  • For MSc in Data Science: Undergraduate level like Bachelor's Degree, BSc, BE, BTech with a background in mathematics/statistics/computer science.
  • For PhD in Mathematics: BE. or BTech or  BSc (Math) or MSc (Math).
  • For PhD in Computer Science: BE or BTech or MSc (CS) or MCA.
  • For PhD in Physics: MSc (Physics)

 

Application Process

  • One can fill the application in the Online Mode
  • One may also request for the application form by post
  • One can visit the college and buy the form.
  • There is an entrance exam for all courses except PhD Physics.
  • The entrance exams usually are held in second week of May.
  • Usually the centres are at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Indore, Kanpur, Kolkata, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Shillong, Silchar, Srinagar as well as Trivandrum.
  • For Ph.D. Physics, candidates have to take the entrance exam called Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST). There is no different CMI entry examination for PhD in Physics.
  • Selection for all Ph.D. programmes will be through an interview at Chennai for the shortlisted candidates. 
  • For all other programs, interviews will be at the discernment of the Admissions Committee-- the Committee might call shortlisted candidates for a meeting relying on their prior scholastic document.

 

PhD Mathematics Admission via NBHM.
